Phone conversation classes

On Wednesday I kind of conversation in English, the language center. I joined the conversation mode, not wanting to go to the typical English class, as given in this country I wanted was to speak, put it to use.

Last year I passed the CAE, so I signed up to the highest level (I think there are 4), as a group did not leave immediately put me on the bottom. I agreed, thinking "this better not speak any English at all year."

Actually, no one speaks English, or anything. The class is in silence. The teacher is an American Erasmus, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I do not know what career exactly, but studying to be a teacher Inglés. Anyway, she makes her classes each day puts an issue, talk about it, ask questions, opinions, create debates, we asked to speak with us, etc, with the normal, dare I say it is quite happy and what is above all, courageous, because to smile for three hours trying to take a class in complete silence and has guts.

I did not have to do thanks to the CAE examination, but the rest did, from what I gather it approved, or approved the previous year. The fact is, if we divide knowledge of conversational English into 4 levels, are supposed to be all, more, less, in the third step.

I wonder what sucked into the language center of the university-oh, the cradle of knowledge, "when a fairly large group of people can achieve smooth, conversational English junior year unable to speak English . That is, the fault lies not with the students, obviously, if not the educational bureaucracy.
